BF Legion in Championship Round
Tigers sweep Hopewell to advance to first championship since 1998

With a total team effort offensively and defensively to go with two solid pitching performances, the Beaver Falls Legion team has knocked off the top seeded Hopewell legion.  Everybody had Hopewell penciled in to the championship bracket, but Beaver Falls had other plans.  Vince Lloyd pitched a complete game victory on Friday in a 6-5 victory.  Brandon Rue pitched a four hitter in game two as Beaver Falls won 5-1 to take the series.  Torian Cyrus's home run was a difference maker in the game staking Beaver Falls to a 2-1 lead that it would not relinquish.  David Ginand had a couple of key hits in game two.

Beaver Falls takes on Blackhawk or Unionville on Wednesday depending on the outcome of tonight's game at Blackhawk.
