Beaver Falls Tigers Baseball 1984

Section 3-11; 3-13 Overall

The 1984 Tiger Baseball team, led by Coach Pat Keeley, had a disappointing season with a record of four wins and thirteen losses.  Coach Keeley felt inexperience really hurt this year's team.  He had only one senior letterman back, and the team had to rely on sophomores and freshmen.  The Tigers ran into all kinds of problems this year.  This caused the new and young players to learn as they were playing.  The outlook for next year's team, according to Coach Keeley, is very promising.  Of hte fourteen lettermen this year, twelve will return next year and eight will be back for the next two seasons.  The leading hitter for the Tigers was sophomore Benny Carter with a .343 average, and the leading pitcher was junior, Scott Hoschar.  Also, congratulations go out to Brian Lasko, who received the Gene Palka Memorial award.
